It’s so easy to make. All you do is mash up some avocado, add a little lemon, salt and red pepper flakes for taste and simply spread across your toast. That’s it!
It just wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t mention guacamole.
2. Guacamole.
I am bias to my recipe just because I have catered it to my taste. So, here it is:
3 Avocados
1 Lime
½ Lemon
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Pepper
3 tbsp Cilantro (Chipotle’s secret)
1/3 cup chopped Onion
½ cup Tomatoes chopped (optional)
1 tbsp Franks Hot Sauce (optional)
Add all of the ingredients into a large bowl. Use a fork to mix all together, that way the avocado can keep some of its chunks!
3. Skin moisturizer - Many different homemade moisturizers can include avocado. If you blend avocado and honey, you get an antibacterial face moisturizer!
4. Hair conditioner – Mash up some avocado in a bowl and let it sit in your damp hair for 20 minutes. Rinse out thoroughly after 20 minutes. The avocado will act as a conditioner.
5. Get rid of eye bags- Mash up some more avo, place it on a cucumber slice. Close your eyes for a little. Sit back and relax. Let the avo do its job.
I couldn’t let you go without some fun facts, is it obvious how much I love avocados yet?
-Avocado ripens fastest when placed next to a bunch of bananas. Need to speed up the process? Place you avocados in a bowl with some bananas!
-Avocados are known to have some of the lowest pesticide counts of all fruits and vegetables because of their thick skin. You don’t even have to wash them- haha
-Eating avo helps maintain cholesterol levels and one avocado can have twice the amount of potassium of one banana.
It just wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t mention guacamole.
